Energy-saving lighting and control solutions provider, Acuity Brands has announced that its Holophane Enduratron highbay lighting systems has been selected to illuminate a new Boeing 787 production plant located in North Charleston, South Carolina.
The Holophane is a well-known brand and has been providing ultra-efficient and cost-effective illumination solutions for outdoor, industrial and commercial applications for more than a century. The joint venture, between BRPH, BE&K Building Group and Turner Construction, has chosen the luminaire for the new plant.
The Holophane brand can provide vertical and horizontal lighting and thus gives maximum brightness for huge spaces such as the Boeing production plant. The brand offers both electrical and optical efficiency as it features an innovative electronic ballast technology.
In addition to the Holophane brand, the contractors have selected other Acuity Brands products such as Peerless and Lithonia Lighting brands that include HID, fluorescent and emergency lighting systems.
The Enduratron lighting system comes under the Holophane Elite Series that offers various innovative products with superior performance. The Enduratron, equipped with advanced electronic HID ballast, offers high-quality illumination. The ISD Superglass technology in the Holophane offers superior light distribution and energy conservation. The luminaire is suitable for a number of applications ranging from industrial and commercial to retail deployments.
