Research and Markets has published Frost & Sullivan's new report titled, ‘Third Generation Photovoltaics: Strategic R&D Portfolio Management’. The report analyzes the third generation photovoltaics, including organic PVs, hybrid PVs, and dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs).
The research covers aspects, such as scalability, cost of manufacturing, efficiency, and performance of the third generation dynamics. In addition, the report provides budgetary details from different government and industrial organizations, as well as the information on particular industrial activities.
According to the report, the third generation PVs will make significant developments due to the high R&D activities. The mass production of the DSSC-powered systems would bring changes in the R&D of this segment. Few of the first commercial third generation devices are mobile phones, DSSC-powered backpacks, and other products. Numerous manufacturers are working to use DSSCs’ capability in powering different non-grid-based lighting applications.
