Samsung Announces Firmware Upgrade for NX10 Imaging Camera

Samsung Electronics has released a firmware upgrade, version 1.20, for its NX10 mirror-less camera. The firmware will assure compatibility with the i-Function lens technology of Samsung.

20-50mm i-Function lens

The NX10 camera users can now control the settings of the camera intuitively and easily from the lens. This feature is unavailable in other cameras. The camera now offers complete image control with user-friendly ways, for controlling camera settings and for quick image capturing.

All the NX system lenses will include the i-Function capability that is a one-touch button, which activates shooting controls, such as white balance, ISO, shutter speed, and aperture. The new firmware also offers a quicker AF speed on the NX10 camera, and compatibility with various lenses and accessories for improving viewer’s experience.

In addition, the lens types available for NX10 camera include a small 20 mm wide-angle Pancake lens, and a compact zoom 20 - 50 mm lens. The 20 mm Pancake lens features an updated Graphic User Interface for supporting the i-Function lens technology. The improved capability of the lens includes Lens Distortion Compensation, which ensures less image distortion in all NX models.
