GAO Fiber Optics Rolls Out Single Fiber Fusion Splicer

Provider of fiber-optic measurement instruments, GAO Fiber Optics, has released a new 730 single fiber fusion splicer. The splicer expands the company’s product line of fiber optic instruments.

Single Fiber Fusion Splicer

The compact fusion splicer is useful in splicing erbium doped, non-zero dispersion shifted, and splice dispersion shifted fibers.

The durable fiber fusion splicer has a digital color display and simultaneous Y and X views. The splicing device tests the fiber end face and automatically calibrates the parameters. The mechanical splices produced by the fusion splicer results in just a 0.1 to 0.3 dB loss.

The fusion splicer automatically adapts itself to environmental settings with its built-in pressure, humidity and temperature sensors to offer continuous feedback control for fusion arc temperature regulation. This feature ensures consistent splicing over various atmospheric conditions. The single fiber fusion splicer can store up to 8000 sets of splice results.
