HED announced that it has unveiled new 7” and 5” (CL-705 and CL-703) TFT LED displays with 800 x 480 and 640 x 480 resolutions, respectively. The LED displays use an ARM9 microcontroller and have a maximum of 3 CAN communication channels. Both displays are part of the HED CANLink controller series.
The CL-705 and CL-703 displays can be used as a part of a distributed system or as a stand-alone device. The displays can be read in the sunlight and are IP67 rated. They have an operational temperature from -40 to +70ºC. The displays offer a sturdy mechanism to communicate messages to the user sitting inside a cab.
The displays can be used to manage 16 extra inputs/outputs that help in substantially decreasing vehicle dashboard wiring. They can also have videos for a maximum of four channels. The displays have a 16 GB SD Memory card for storing vehicle manuals or for data logging. The displays can be programmed by utilizing the do-it-yourself CANLink Arranger programming tool from HED.
