EMX Rolls Out SWAT Thermal Imaging Camera

EMX has released its new SWAT thermal imaging camera designed for the use in semi-auto handgun. The camera offers the highest situation awareness with the lowest SWAT operator exposure.

The semi-auto, wireless, thermal imaging camera comprises a video transmitter and a modifiable electronic reticle. The pistol-mounted thermal camera transmits the bore-sighted video to the belt-worn video receiver, thereby providing hands free transmission. The VIDEO OUT obtained from the video receiver is then routed to monocular video display that is provided by the customer. The routing of the video allows the operator to see the view obtained by the weapon.

The SWAT thermal imaging camera is also available with an optional video monocular. The imaging system provides the shooter ease of operation in dark environments, and concealment over-the-wall or around-the-corner.
