Supplier of metrology and precision instrumentation solutions, Veeco Instruments has unveiled a low-cost product under the ContourGT series of 3D optical surface profilers.
The new ContourGT-K0 Surface Metrology System integrates streamlined functionality and architecture, with substantially enhanced computing and measurement software and hardware. It is a very sophisticated and easy-to-use 3D optical surface profiler.
The ContourGT-K0 3D optical surface profiler uses dual-LED illumination in combination with high quality vertical resolution. It incorporates Veeco’s Vision64 analysis and operation software. The optical profiler has a modular user interface that enables the user to customize it for various surface profiling metrology uses.
Veeco Metrology & Instrumentation’s Executive Vice President, Mark R. Munch stated that the ContourGT-K0 3D optical surface profiler has been acclaimed by their research and industrial customers. Veeco Optical Industrial Metrology’s VP, Ross Q. Smith commented that there is a fast growing market for non-contact, low-cost 3D surface profilers, which can replace the conventional 2D contact-based optical surface profilers.
