QED’s New HDMI Interconnects Meet High Speed + Ethernet Specifications

QED has launched two new HDMI interconnects that meet the High Speed + Ethernet specifications.

HDMI Interconnect Cable

The Performance HDMI-e Super Speed and the Performance HDMI-e interconnects are available in 24 K laser-soldered, gold-plated connecting pins that ensure corrosion-free connectivity.

The HDMI-e Super Speed interconnect incorporates a 24 AWG OFC and copper cores that ensures maximum data transfer speeds of 19.2 Gb/s in a minute. The HDMI-e interconnect features an oxygen-free, 26 AWG copper main cores that enable maximum data transfer speeds of 15.9 Gb/s.

The new cables also have an audio return channel feature that enables a HDMI-connected television with an inbuilt tuner to transmit audio data to a sound system. The audio return feature removes the requirement for an individual audio cable.
The High Speed + Ethernet specification includes fast networking to the conventional HDMI connection. The specification enables users to utilize the IP-enabled units without requiring an individual Ethernet cable.
