Provider of fiber-optic transmission products, KBC Networks has released a new family of Ethernet edge switches.
The ES series Ethernet switches have both unmanaged and managed switches, which are designed to meet the existing industrial networks’ requirements.
The KBC Ethernet edge switch range includes switches that provide Small Form Pluggable ports, embedded serial server data ports, and fiber interfaces. The series also includes entry-level series switches that are unmanaged and are ideal for IP camera networks. The switches have an IP40 protection class rating, while the operating temperature ranges between -40°C and +85°C. They also feature automatic port configuration and plug-and-play design.
The new Ethernet edge switches provide redundancy through DT-Ring+ or DT-Ring technology to assure recovery times below 100 msec. The switches are available in wall-mount or DIN rail configurations, and they incorporate alarm outputs and redundant power supplies.
KBC Networks’ President, Steve Kuntz stated that the Ethernet edge switches offer customers with diverse options of transmission products that are designed for adverse settings. He added that the company’s aim is to offer the right kind of product for the unique needs of the customer.
