Rogers Communications to Acquire Atria Networks

Rogers Communications has announced that it has planned to acquire Atria Networks, a fibre-optic company, for $425 million.

The acquisition will enhance Rogers’ on-net data service capabilities and business solutions.

Atria Networks is the largest fibre-optic network operator in Kitchener, Ontario. Birch Hill Equity Partners owns Atria Networks. Atria caters to over 1,100 customers that include carrier and enterprise providers and the public sector.

Rogers Communications’ CEO and President, Nadir Mohamed stated that the company is delighted to welcome the Atria team, which comprises 130 employees. Mohamed added that Atria has a successful track record and has an enthusiastic, experienced and efficient management team.
