Basler announced that it has begun series production of the two new ace GigE area scan camera models. The new acA750-30gc color and acA750-30gm models offer resolutions of 748 x 576 and 752 x 580 pixels, respectively. The ace cameras are suitable for automotive production, electronics inspection, and factory automation tasks.

The ace models use the Sony ICX409 interlaced sensor to offer 30 frames per second speed. The high sensitivity of the interlaced sensors makes them ideal for inspection applications and analog cameras. The ace cameras comprise a 29 x 29 mm footprint with all the benefits of a digital camera. These cameras are suitable alternatives to the analog cameras featuring interlaced sensors.

Basler will unveil more ace GigE area scan cameras at the VISION show to be held in Germany, from November 9 to 11, 2010. The products lined up for the launch include four new standard resolution cameras with Sony CCD sensors. The company will also release high-resolution CMOS cameras  under the acer series.
