Samsung Unveils New Series of LED-Backlit Monitors

Samsung Electronics has introduced a new family of LED-backlit monitors. The 31 series monitors are suited for budget-conscious consumers who seek energy-saving, as well as stylish and affordable LED monitor.

BX2431 Monitor

The 31 series LED-backlit monitors consume 40% less energy, when compared to the CCFL backlit monitors of the same size. The displays do not contain halogens or mercury, making them convenient to recycle. The monitors have also obtained the Energy Star 5.0 rating.

The monitors are available in four different sizes – the 24” BX2431, the 23” BX2331, the 21.5” BX2231, and the 20” BX2031. The BX2431, BX2331, and BX2231 monitors have a response time of 2 ms, and a HD resolution of 1920 x 1080. The BX2031 monitor offers 1600 x 900 resolution, and a 5 ms response time. All the models have a dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1. The monitors enable the user to link to an HD gaming system or a Blu-ray player concurrently with two HDMI ports.

The monitors utilize the signature LED backlighting technology of Samsung to provide sharp picture quality and bold colors. They also restrict ghosting effects with a very fast response time, using the backlighting technology. The displays also feature the Magic Angle technology, to assure complete color depth and contrast of the image, irrespective of the viewing angle.
