Zoran COACH Camera Processors Power Digital Cameras at Photokina

Zoran announced that its COACH digital camera processors power more than 100 digital camera models showcased at the Photokina exhibition. The new COACH 12 digital video processors power high definition camcorders, such as 3D video and wireless Internet connected camera models.

Zoran’s patented technologies allow improved hardware-based Face Tracking and high ISO. The Face Tracking enables detecting and tracking multiple faces simultaneously. The right auto exposure and auto focus for a tracked object is chosen automatically for an enhanced picture quality. The advanced noise reduction technology of Zoran removes the blur created due to long exposure times, enabling the capture of remarkable photos even in dim light environments.

The COACH processors power cameras of manufacturers, such as Vivitar, Sony, Samsung, Pentax, Olympus, Nikon, Kodak, GE, Fujifilm, Cisco, and Casio. Zoran is currently developing its COACH 13 digital camera processors into multiple first-tier digital camera brands.

The General Manager and Vice President of Mobile division at Zoran, Ohad Meitav stated that the COACH family of products is becoming popular since last year. He added that they are delighted about the design win traction of the company’s COACH 12P series in the segment of digital camcorders.
