NEC Introduces New LED Modules for Video Wall Installations

Provider of advanced LCD displays and projector systems, NEC Display Solutions, has unveiled the new LED modules for outdoor and indoor video wall deployments. The LED-15BF1 outdoor LED module is ideal for billboards, airports and sporting venues, while the LED-06AF1 LED module is suitable for broadcast studios, shopping malls and retail stores.

LED-15BF1 Outdoor LED Module

The LED-15BF1 and the LED-06AF1 LED modules have 7500 and 2000 NIT brightness, a contrast ratio of 4500:1 and 3500:1 and a pixel pitch of 15 mm and 6 mm, respectively. The modules have a refresh rate of more than 800 Hz and feature a DVI-D DualLink interface.

The Nichia LED lamp has a durable lifespan. Both LED modules have a dot-to-dot correction feature that allows high dot pitch precision. The LED-15BF1 module has an IP65 protection rating to assure protection from adverse environments.

Both LED modules are based on the true pixel principle, in which each blue, green and red LED generates a single pixel. This enables more precise images and superior color depth. The control software enables auto locating as well as auto mapping, so that every module obtains the exact image quadrant.

NEC’s Director of Product Marketing, Keith Yanke stated that the LED modules will be useful for shopping malls, sports complexes, concert venues and transportation hubs.
