Supplier of optical transceivers, GAO Fiber Optics, has introduced a new Nortel compatible SFP transceiver module. The AA1419013 is a 550 m, 850 nm, 1000BASE-SX SFP transceiver module that includes digital diagnostics and a sturdy management tool. The transceiver is also equipped with physical network connectivity of routing devices, Ethernet switches, cross-connections, distance extenders and media converters.
SFPs are hot-pluggable, compact transceivers that are utilized for data communication and telecommunication applications. The transceivers interface a mother board to a copper or fiber-optic network cable. The SFP transceivers support Fiber Channel, gigabit Ethernet and SONET communication standards.
GAO provides a diverse range of Nortel compatible transceivers. The new SFP modules from GAO are used in a number of applications such as 10 gigabit Ethernet, gigabit Ethernet, Fiber Channel and 10 Gigabit per second SONET/SDH.
GAO offers other SFP transceivers that include AA1419001 1000BASE-SX GBIC, 550m; AA1403005 10GBASE-SR XFP device for MMF, 300m; AA1403003 10GBASE-ER XFP device for SMF, 40 km, and AA1403001 10GBase-LR XFP device for SMF, 10 km.
GAO has also launched a handheld variable optical attenuator and a handheld optical light source.
