DILAS Unveils New Diode Laser Module for Fiber Laser Pumping Applications

DILAS has manufactured a new conduction-cooled, high-brightness diode laser module using diode laser bars. The diode laser module offers a maximum output power of 40 W from a fiber core measuring 100 micron at a 976 nm wavelength with a numerical aperture of less than 0.22.

Assuring power efficiency, brightness, and high power, DILAS has attained test results with more than 40% wall-plug efficiency at the operating current. A vital feature of the module’s architecture is the electrically secluded single-bar package with a tiny footprint, measuring 70 mm x 30 mm x 17 mm.

The fiber-coupled diode laser module’s laser power is provided through a non-detachable fiber core that is terminated with a cleaved fiber end or a SMA 905 connector. The module, having enhanced heat removal through direct thermal contact, is suitable for various applications ranging from medical to micro-materials processing to fiber laser pumping.
