Provider of LED replacement light bulbs, Nexxus Lighting has presented the first range of Array LED replacement lamps for evaluation under the ENERGY STAR program. The company, after completing the third-party testing, has submitted the R30 product in the narrow flood, as well as flood configurations at color temperature of 3000°K.
The Array R30 replacement lamps use the patent-pending thermal management system and the patented design of Nexxus Lighting, to provide more than 60 lm per watt. It utilizes only 8 W to generate 500 lm at 3000°K color temperature and color rendering index of 84. The Array Lighting products has 37 pending U.S. and foreign patent applications, and 23 issued patents.
Nexxus is likely to submit more color temperatures and lamp types to ENERGY STAR in the near future. The company had intended to submit the lamps before the end of August 2010, but the third-party lab caused delays in completing the testing. ENERGY STAR, a joint program of the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, helps individuals and businesses safeguard their environment and save money through energy-efficient products.
