Developer of LED lighting technologies, Bridgelux has chosen the AccuScribe 2150P fully automated wafer scriber of Electro Scientific Industries (ESI), to increase manufacturing at its California LED design and manufacturing center. ESI provides laser-based manufacturing solutions for the microtechnology sector.
Bridgelux combines the LED chips into the LED Array light sources, offering diverse performance ranges between 240 and 4500 operational lumens. The LED Array light sources replace HID, CFL, halogen, and incandescent light sources in various applications. Bridgelux’ broad portfolio offers customers with diverse choices as they build high-quality luminaires and replacement lamps.
The AccuScribe 2150P wafer scriber is optimized for laser scribing of LED units based on sapphire. It is an automated, cost-efficient laser system that facilitates uniform and consistent die-scribed LEDs in a controlled depth, offering high die singulation yield for LED developers.
Bridgelux’s VP of manufacturing, Mike Peanasky stated that the AccuScribe 2150P wafer scriber would play a crucial role in optimizing the company’s manufacturing process. He added that the company’s manufacturing process advancements and LED design innovations are focused on providing high-performance, high-quality lighting products to its customers.
