Scientists Demonstrate Laser Beam Tests Between Jets in Michigan Airport

Scientists from the University of Notre Dame and the Michigan Air Force have jointly demonstrated ground-based laser ray tests from one jet to another, at the Ford International Airport, Michigan.

The laser beam tests will help in developing laser-based communication potentialities for airplanes in their flight.

Scientists all over the world believe that lasers will be the communication wave for the future. The lasers have the potential to be utilized for generating video feeds from remote-controlled flights, and providing high-speed internet services for the air-travelers.

The Project Manager, Kevin Tessmer stated that the laser beam technology is at its initial stages and 20 years down the line, the technology would become a reality.
