KMSA Introduces COLIBRI and FD-Series Spectrodensitometers for Digital Imaging Applications

Konica Minolta Sensing Americas (KMSA) has introduced new COLIBRI color matching software and FD-Series Spectrodensitometers for the digital imaging market.

FD-7 spectrodensitometer

Konica Minolta Business Solutions, a sister division of KMSA, will jointly showcase the products at the Graph Expo 2010 in Chicago, from 3 to 6 October 2010.

The FD-Series Spectrodensitometers are available in the FD-7 and FD-5 models. These handheld, lightweight models measure color and density, while considering the fluorescence of paper. Both models use KMSA’s Virtual Fluorescence Standard technology to evaluate the color, while considering the fluorescence of paper substrate under Illuminant D50 light source.

The COLIBRI Color Matching software is suitable for recipe correction and formulation of transparent, translucent and opaque inks and colors. The software instantly provides a wide range of recipes for saturated, metallic or dark inks. The COLIBRI Color Matching software also optimizes the pigment weight and avoids over pigmentation associated with opaque inks. The software enables customized configurations to fulfill individual customer requirements.
