Aurora Networks to Display Fiber Deep Solutions at 2010 SCTE Cable-Tec Expo

Provider of optical transport solutions, Aurora Networks will showcase its commercial and residential cable solutions at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2010 in New Orleans, from October 20 to 22, 2010.

The company’s solutions to be demonstrated include the full spectrum QAM transmitter, RFoG/RFPON solutions, commercial services, and new multi-wavelength segmentation. The company will demonstrate the way in which cable operators can deploy Aurora Networks’ digital return technology to meet the challenges of the DOCSIS® 3.0 upstream.

The other solutions to be displayed at the expo include various technologies that support Fiber Deep, which is the first green network architecture of cable. Aurora Networks will demonstrate the energy-saving capabilities of the Fiber Deep. The Fiber Deep network architecture products remove the necessity for RF amplifiers, and minimize around 70% of actives in a cable network. In addition, Fiber Deep also minimizes maintenance and operational costs by up to 65%, and power costs by up to 50%.

Aurora Networks will showcase the NC2000, NC4000, DWDM, and LcWDM platforms that offer support for multi-wavelength node segmentation. In addition, the cell tower backhaul solution will also be showcased for the cable operators.
