Diodes Releases Super Barrier Rectifier for LED Lighting Applications

Diodes has launched the new SBR1U400P1 super barrier rectifier that improves the off-line LED drivers’ efficiency. The SBR device has 25% lower forward voltage as compared to standard p-n diodes.

The 1A, 400V rated SBR1U400P1 is ideal for buck and bridge stages of driver circuits. The applications of the super barrier rectifier include street lighting, signage, lighting ballasts, and LED light bulbs.

The SBR1U400P1 offers less than 0.65V forward voltage for 1A current, at a temperature of 125°C. This implies that the considerably low power consumption can be achieved for various off-line LED driver circuits. The rectifier is offered in the company’s PowerDI 123 package to deliver effective heat dissipation.

The SBR device delivers a high-speed switching performance, with a reverse recovery time of 85ns. The SBR1U400P1 minimizes the generation of electrical noise, by eliminating ringing and showing a soft recovery.
