Identity verification and authentication AvidBiometrics.com, has released a new range of ID Scanners that allow business owners to scan licenses and IDs of customers and patrons. When employees swipe the card, the ID scanners scan the information given on the ID card and display it on a backlit LCD.

The LCD displays vital data including customers’ date of birth, age and expiration date, among others. The ID Scanners are specifically designed to read 2D bar code licenses as well as ID cards provided by Canada and the US. The Scanner series comprises ID scanners and Magnetic Stripe ID scanners.
AvidBiometrics.com’s Sales Manager, John Stetson stated that business organizations who fail to scan a customer’s ID can face fines, revoked licenses and other penalties. The new range of ID scanners provides security to such business establishments. Stetson added that the company also provides compliance software, which proves useful during the auditing process.
