Smarter Security’s ClearStyle 200 Optical Turnstile Installed at Financial Center in the U.S.

Supplier of security solutions, Smarter Security Systems announced that a worker’s compensation insurance company, based in the western U.S., has installed the Fastlane ClearStyle 200 optical turnstile. The installation, combined with other entry control technologies, had a measurable impact on strengthening the security for the building.

The customer decided to deploy the optical turnstiles, while constructing the new building, to increase the security awareness level, and to provide better shield to the operations. At the entrance for employee, three lanes were installed to address the issues of sharing access cards and employees piggybacking. The Fastlane ClearStyle 200 was selected for its improved technology and distinct aesthetic design, which complemented the entrance of the building.

The glass side panels of the ClearStyle 200 optical turnstile enable the lobby’s design to be viewed better. The panels have chevrons, which flashes to help in signaling access violations. The Fastlane optical technology secures the building by identifying unauthorized entries and tailgaters, and also by reducing nuisance alarms. The remote and local alarms enable security personnel to reply to violations. The optical turnstile, when an alarm is raised, has the potential to trigger CCTV systems, shutdown elevators, or lock adjacent doors.

Smarter Security Systems’ President, Jeff Brown stated that the ClearStyle 200 not only prevents intruders, but also significantly changes the employee behavior to comply with the security processes.
