Globecomm Expands Fiber-Optic Network Connectivity

Satellite and wireless communications solutions provider, Globecomm Systems, has quadrupled the teleport and points-of-presence facilitates, allowing telecommunication service providers to improve connectivity needs across the world.

The network is based on fiber-optic connectivity, which supports Globecomm and its subsidiaries’ communication services.

Globecomm informed that the network expansion include a new points-of-presence in New York. This also includes the network expansion of Carrier 2 Carrier telecom, a subsidiary of Globecomm.

The Globecomm network is equipped with routers and switches and deployed in a local peering architecture. The company’s customers can now choose any carrier at any locations to become a part of Globecomm’s fiber-optic network.
