New QuickSwitch 4294 Fiber Optic Switch from Electro Standards

Manufacturer of fiber-optic network switches, Electro Standards Laboratories, has rolled out a new fiber optic network switch called the QuickSwitch 4294 All-Optic Simplex A/B/C/D. With the help of the QuickSwitch 4294 4-Way switch, a fiber optic instrument can be joined to the FC Simplex COMMON connector to use any four fiber-optic networks. These networks are linked to the A, B, C or D ports.

The QuickSwitch 4294 is developed by using an advanced fiber-optic mirror technique. The signal received by the switch is redirected using the fiber optic mirror techniques. The signal then exits from the switch as an optical signal across a fiber strand. The optimum wavelength of the QuickSwitch 4294 switch is 1300 nm.

The position of the switch can be conveniently changed through the pushbutton. An RS232 Serial Remote Port, which is found in the back panel, can also be used to change the switch position. The position status can be determined from the remote port connector or from the front panel LEDs. The switch delivers remote switching through the RS232 Serial Remote port. In case of any power failure, the Switch Position Memory function allows the unit to change to its default position.
