Manufacturer of energy-efficient LED lighting products, Redbird LED, has completed a LED lighting retrofit project for Buckhead Marketplace Shopping Center in Virginia. The project was undertaken to enhance illumination and promote increased energy savings. The underground parking garage offers secure and direct entry to the Whole Foods outlet.
The Redbird LED Vapor Tight lights were used to light up the parking garage. The 40 W LED luminaires were specifically chosen to improve the illumination of the parking walls and spaces. The field-adjustable lighting design illuminates the parking walls without causing any glare to the pedestrians. The LED lights have a lamp life of 50,000 h, which helps in cutting down energy and maintenance costs.
The Redbird LED light utilizes efficient linear light modules that have controlled directional intensity. The directional intensity can be altered accordingly during the installation process.
The LED lights, in addition to being energy-efficient, offer a number of benefits for parking garage owners. The lights do not contain any mercury and remove the need for recycling. They are also more resistant to damage and can be operated in cold weather conditions, unlike fluorescent lights.
