Provider of multi-service access platform services, Occam Networks has signed an agreement with Optronics Technologies to enhance its presence in the southern part of Europe. The agreement is the part of Occam Networks’ EMEA reseller network, which is growing faster.
Optronics Technologies, which is specialized in optoelectronics and fiber-optics, is well-known in Cyprus and Greece, for deploying fiber optic-based WAN and LAN networks for privately, as well as publicly owned networks. The company also has its own manufacturing units for fiber-optic components and accessories.
Optronics’ Managing Director, Ilias Koukouvinos stated that the versatile product range of Occam Networks enables customers to make a minimal initial commitment, if needed and construct the desired network.
Occam Networks’ Vice-President of Marketing, Russ Sharer commented that the increasing requirement from both enterprise and residential users for enhanced bandwidth has made European service providers to choose GPON, Ethernet or other such fiber technologies as their infrastructure solution.
