Guangdong Likely to Purchase LED Streetlights, 3D Projectors from Delta Electronics

The Provincial Government of Guangdong, China, is likely to award new orders for 3D projectors and LED streetlights to Delta Electronics, a developer of electronic units.

A delegation from the Guangdong Government led by its Governor, Huang Hau-hau made a visit to the company’s facility in August and showed interest in the projectors and streetlights.

Delta Electronics had earlier signed a letter of intent with the Dongguan City, to advance the development of energy-efficient products. The agreement is expected to pave the way for enormous business for the LED streetlights.

Huang appreciated the LED streetlights of Delta Electronics during the visit. He stated that the Guangdong province has planned to invest RMB 10 billion in electric cars, LED lighting, and solar energy over the next five years. He added that they would buy 3D projectors for the 2010 Asian Games, which has been scheduled to take place in Guangzhou in November.
