Schmitt to Display New Lasercheck Measurement Devices at IMTS Show

Developer of test and measurement devices, Schmitt Industries will display the new Lasercheck series of surface roughness measurement devices at the IMTS show, from September 13 - 18, 2010, in Chicago.

The Lasercheck system utilizes the laser light scatter technology to offer surface roughness measurement with high repeatability, speed of measurement, and durability. The system features a durable and robust design, and it is developed especially for "Point of Measurement" usage in manufacturing and production settings. The measurement tool has been designed for surface control and measurement in a wide array of applications.

The Lasercheck system is completely automatic, and features a touch screen display for convenient data entry. It has various data output choices such as Ethernet, RS 232/485, or USB flash memory. The system has the potential to perform non-contact surface roughness measurements in Ra, RMS, Micro Inch, or Micron output values at the machine facility, without any interruption in the manufacturing operation. The Lasercheck system provides one time calibration, avoiding re-calibration cost and time.

Schmitt, in addition to the Lasercheck system, also provides a whole range of accessories such as proximity sensors, touch panel mounting arm, and mounting fixtures for process adjustment.
