New Flying-Optic Laser System from Han-Kwang

Han-Kwang USA has released the new PS 3015 2D flying-optic laser system for application in cutting process. The PS 3015 model features a compact design that offers regulation at a higher degree for the cutting process. The short-gantry arrangement of the device improves operator vision over the machine.

The flying-optic laser system is operated by the gantry’s twin servos. The system offers 7900 ipm simultaneous X-Y axis speed, 4724 ipm fast single axis speed, and a maximum of 1181 ipm cutting speed. The PS 3015 comprises an onboard dual shuttle pallet system for maintaining best productivity in processing.

The Series PS laser system includes the company’s beam radius control to optimize the beam diameter for different thickness and material substrates. The short-gantry laser system also comprises a Panasonic CO2 laser resonator in the versions of 6, 4, and 2.5 KW, and a plasma-monitoring unit that continuously tracks the cut errors in order to minimize the cutting cycle’s out-of-tolerance conditions. Siemens SINUMERIK 840D CNC controls the system’s laser cutting operations and machine mechanical movements. The laser system is available with an optional rotary axis for a tube cutting a maximum of 12-inch OD.
