Mazak Optonics Launches New Laser Cutting System

Distributor of CO₂ laser cutting systems, Mazak Optonics, has released a new 2D laser cutting system, the SuperTurbo-X Mark III RTC, for cutting a wide range of materials such as chamfers, taps, cubic parts and thin and thick sheets. The laser cutting system has an integrated tapping function for various thread sizes. The system also has chamfering capabilities.

Mazak laser cutting system can accept a maximum of 5x10-ft flat material sheet, and is available in 4000 and 2500 W configurations. The Z travel’s 16.14-inch range allows the user to cut 3D and pre-formed parts that necessitate greater cut height.

The SuperTurbo-X Mark III RTC can be delivered with various automated material handling systems such as flexible manufacturing systems and unload/ load cells.

The Mark III employs similar features like the company’s Hyper Series machines and includes a focal point adjustment and measurement, a three-station nozzle changer and intelligent setup features for auto nozzle spatter removal. These features are the company’s Opti-Pod’s components. The Opti-Pod enhances unattended operation, reduces system setup and simultaneously maintains optimized machining condition.
