Waveform Technology to Complete Fiber Optic Network Project in Michigan School

Waveform Technology, internet service provider, is going to complete a new fiber optic network project for Marian High School in Michigan. The fiber optic network will also offer gigabit internet access to St. Regis School and Brother Rice High school. The internet connection is provisioned over Waveform’s fiber.

The gigabit internet is 650 times faster than the T1 internet service and over 160 times quicker than the current internet connection in Marian High School, delivering high-speed internet access than other private educational institutions in Michigan. The school will utilize the internet connection to shift to hosted services for educational resources and school management systems.

Noel Montales, Waveform Technology representative, stated that private educational institutions do not have similar purchasing power as public institutions and the company wanted to provide high-speed bandwidth to these schools in a cost-effective way. He added that about 15 years, ago, the company had assisted in reducing the price barrier of T1 line circuits, making it a premier provider of dedicated internet access in Detroit.
