Intevac’s Optical Imaging Division Selects Camstar Enterprise Platform

Camstar Systems, software solution provider, has announced that Intevac has chosen the Camstar Enterprise Platform to speed up the introduction of new products, simplify the regulatory compliance and promote quality programs.

Intevac Photonics’ facility in California will implement the Camstar Enterprise Platform, which will have Operational Intelligence, Quality Management such as Nonconformance Management and Corrective and Preventive Action Management as well as Statistical Process Control and Manufacturing Execution capabilities.

Intevac Photonics’ Vice President of Operations, Tim Justyn, stated that the company is manufacturing and distributing new products in a speedier way to meet the key requirements of scientific, industrial and military business organizations. He added that the Enterprise Platform will enable them to manufacture the products at a similar pace, while simultaneously ensuring quality products.

Intevac’s Business Process Manager, Ruth Updegraff, informed that the company selected the Camstar Enterprise Platform after examining a number of options.

Camstar’s Senior VP, Rob Rudder, commented that the company’s expertise in electronics and semiconductor production as well as the huge investment made in the Enterprise Platform are making a significant difference to the technical industry.
