ITT to Award Display Beam Combiner Assemblies Subcontract to eMagin

eMagin announced that ITT will award a subcontract to the company for the supply of DBCA (display beam combiner assemblies), such as the OLED-XL microdisplays.

The subcontract will have $15.2 million potential value. The subcontract is the result of the contract won by Night Vision & Imaging business facilities of ITT from the U.S. Army for the supply of (SENVG) Spiral Enhanced Night Vision Goggle.

The SENVG uses a number of ENVG subassemblies, such as eMagin’s DBCA. It includes an 18 mm image intensifier tube. The SENVG device is powered by three AA batteries that offer a projected $130 million savings during the device’s life cycle, and minimize the logistics burden. The SENVG features a digital upgrade functionality that enables the goggle to provide fused imagery to be transmitted through battlefield networks.

eMagin’s CEO and President, Andrew Sculley stated that they are delighted to provide their aid in minimizing the SENVG’s power requirements with their OLED microdisplays.
