Provider of communication test equipment, GAO Comm has unveiled the new fiber-optic transceiver unit that uses 10-bit/20MHz sampling technology for digital video encoding.
The GFS116 fiber-optic digital video transceiver unit supports four-way video transmission over a single optical fiber. The device is offered in either rack mount or stand-alone card version.
The digital video transceiver features a broad dynamic range and a hot-pluggable design, enabling easy installation, operation, and maintenance in CCTV monitoring systems. It requires no optical or electrical adjustments for field operations.
The GFS116 transceiver features a high-speed, optical transmission channel that ensures the video signals’ quality. Moreover, the transceiver has a DB9 data connection, ST optical connection, and BNC video connection. It is compatible with the SECAM, PAL, and NTSC video formats.
