New Iris Imaging System Announced by AOptix

AOptix Technologies, developer of biometric identification solutions, has released the new InSight VM iris recognition system, which is suitable for office buildings, airports and other such public places.

New InSight VM 2 Meter

The InSight VM can be integrated with eGates, immigration control counters, and access control settings, as it has a width of below 23 cm. The iris recognition system reflects the components’ vertical orientation to offer a new slender form factor that has a compact footprint.

The InSight VM uses AOptix’s Adaptive Optics technology for the complete automation of the iris capture process at a speed of 2 seconds/eye. The imaging functionality of the new iris recognition system is similar to the original AOptix InSight SD system, as it captures iris images at 2 m distance.

The iris imaging system’s 0.75 m3 capture volume enables users with any height to position themselves, without much effort. When a person or subject stands in the capture volume, looks at the system, and open the eyes, the InSight VM automates the complete process by locating the subject and his/her eyes to perform iris imaging.
