Developer of LED-based Intelligent Lighting Systems, Digital Lumens announced that it has received two industrial certifications, the DLC (DesignLights Consortium) designation, and the Lighting Facts Label for its Intelligent Lighting System.
The certifications have been given for the system’s Lowbay and Highbay lighting fixtures that are meant for industrial and commercial buildings applications. The DLC had earlier approved the system in the category of Highbay Aisle.
Funded by the U.S DOE (Department of Energy), the Lighting Facts label offers important information to customers for evaluating the LED products. The QPL (Qualified Products List) of DLC addresses product categories that are not covered by the Energy Star program of the DOE. The DLC offers a stringent evaluation criteria set for vendors to ensure that energy-efficient, high-quality lighting is available commonly in the lighting market.
The Intelligent Lighting System combines software, networking, sensors, and LEDs in a single solution, which uses system-wide intelligence to decrease energy costs for the customers. The system has been designed for use in industrial facilities and large warehouses. It features an Intelligent Light Engine which is a LED-based highbay fixture, featuring a diverse dimming and control capabilities. The Lighting System collects the occupancy and energy consumption details, allowing engineers and facility managers to fine-tune their lighting program.
