The new LED fixtures are anticipated to save a minimum of $158,000 in energy costs annually. The LED lights will replace the existing lights at the passenger pick-up and drop-off areas, and the parking garage of the airport.

ALSI is specialized in developing and manufacturing energy-efficient LED lighting fixtures. The LED lights are free of maintenance for a maximum of 20 years, and consume 80% less energy. The company’s luminaire has been ranked as the most efficient light of its type in the world by the U.S. Department of Energy Lighting. The Airport Authority has received funding from the Pennsylvania Energy Development Authority and the PA Conservation Works to execute the project.

The Vice-President of ALSI, Rob McAnally stated that the company designs LED fixtures completely based on the characteristics and requirements of the LED. He added that they are likely to increase the workforce by four times in the coming two years.
