New Laser Die Cutting System from Spartanics

Spartanics has introduced a new combination of rotary die and laser die cutting system, the Spartanics Finecut-Plus-Rotary, for the nanomaterals industry.

Spartanics Finecut-Plus-Rotary

The system offers an optimal cutting solution for a number of applications such as packaging, membrane switches, RFID tags, medical and automotive device components, novelty magnets, POP display devices, paperboard and cardstock products, belts, discs and labels.

The laser die cutting system has a rotary die cutting speed of 121 m/min and a laser die cutting speed of 100 m/min. The cutting system uses single-source lasers for die cutting. The rotary sheeting cuts variable lengths at a faster rate compared to conventional guillotine sheeters. The Finecut-Plus-Rotary features add-on modules for ultraviolet UV slitting, lamination and coatings.

The Finecut-Plus-Rotary system offers semi-rotary die cutting along with X, Y registration, which helps in maintaining speeds at 100 ft/min and is suitable for interchanging job set-ups. The system has an automated optimization in die cutting and requires no operator intervention. Its application extends to a broad range of materials namely magnetic materials, abrasives, paper, polyester and polycarbonate.
