Bridgelux and Foshan to Co-Develop LED Lighting Solutions

Lighting products manufacturer, Foshan Electrical and Lighting Company announced that it has chosen LED lighting technology-developer, Bridgelux to supply luminaires and lamps in the general market. The lighting products have been designed to minimize the system costs, and enable broad LED lighting adoption.

The strategic partnership will speed up the transition from conventional lighting to eco-friendly, energy saving LED technology. The LED lighting technology is expected to hold 25% of the lighting market across the globe by 2015.

The Chief Executive Officer of Bridgelux, Bill Watkins, stated that they focus on developing solutions that can speed up the adoption of LED solutions for residential and commercial markets. He further said that they are pleased to work with Foshan. Foshan’s expertise will facilitate faster delivery and broad adoption of solid-state lighting solutions.
