TeleHealth Services and Samsung Launch New LCD TVs for Hospitals

Samsung Electronics America and TeleHealth Services have introduced two new LCD televisions designed exclusively for the healthcare market.

Samsung LCD-458

The Samsung LCD 458 series combines hospital-related features to offer complete entertainment and education solutions, which improve sustainability, operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.

The 32-inch and 26-inch LCD televisions feature a Wide Color Enhancer technology and a full high-definition (HD) display. The LCD televisions also include bottom firing speakers and Dolby Digital Plus for ultimate HD experience. The LCD TVs are integrated with TeleHealth’s TIGR patient education system that makes the entire educational video library available in the hospital rooms. Patients can access the educational programs by utilizing the hospital’s telephone system.

The LCD TVs have an interchangeable pillow speaker interface and USB autosensing side inputs. The former allows inter-compatibility between pin sets and pillow speaker models, while the latter allows patients to connect entertainment equipment through a USB port.
