Supplier of laser-based products, Electro Scientific Industries, announced that it has shipped the new laser link processing system, the 9850TPIR+ (Tailored Pulse Infra-Red Plus) for the dynamic random access memory (DRAM) market.
The 9850TPIR+, developed on the company’s dual-beam 9850 platform, enhances its tailored pulse laser architecture’s capability, to satisfy demands of DRAM makers who upgrades to 40nm processes.
The 9850TPIR+ has been developed to match the materials processing and production requirements of embedded memory and DRAM devices, and to deliver a low ownership cost. The link processing system includes the enhanced version of the company’s tailored pulse laser technology in combination with higher repetition rate, to support difficult, advanced fuse designs.
The processing system enables quicker fuse blowing, delivering 20% better productivity than the 9850TP. The 9850TPIR+ exceeds the precision and accuracy needs for 40 nm DRAM processes.
ESI Semiconductor Products Division’s General Manager and Vice President, Louis Vintro, stated that 9850TPIR+ system delivers the customers’ requirements for higher productivity and throughput.
