CSTech Korea and Eco Depot to Open LED Lighting Plant in Mexico

Los Angeles-based Eco Depot and Korea-based CS Technology have unveiled a Joint Venture manufacturing and distribution plant in Mexico.

The new plant will support the increasing demand for LED Lighting solutions in North America. The companies will name the plant as CS Tech Mexico S.A. de C.V. and will locate it in Tijuana’s Otay Industrial Area, Mexico.

CSTech Mexico will provide services, namely, applications laboratories, quality assurance, customer service, and sales support. The production lines will soon be installed, with the entire installation is anticipated to be finished by September. The certification process will commence once the installation is completed. The production at the new plant has been planned to start in the 4Q of 2010.

The Otay Industrial Area is known as the major electronics-producing region in North America and it is located at the center of the NAFTA Industrial Zone. Because of these qualities, Eco Depot selected the industrial area for the new plant. A team of people from the US, Korea, and Mexico will operate CSTech Mexico to manufacture 30,000 LED lighting fixtures every month.
