GAO Fiber Optics Announces New Digital Fiber-Optic Video Transceiver

Provider of fiber-optic devices, GAO Fiber Optics has announced its new GFS118, all-digital fiber-optic digital video transceiver module. The new module supports transmission of one-way return data and four-way video over a single optical fiber, simultaneously.

The transceiver module is compatible with SECAM, PAL, and NTSC video formats. The transceiver is available in rack mount, and stand-alone card versions.

The GFS118 video transceiver features a broad dynamic range and a hot-plugging design, which enable easier operation, maintenance, and installation. To ensure a better signal transmission quality, the transceiver uses the 10bit/20MHz sampling technology for the encoding of digital video.

The digital video transceiver includes a DB9 data connector, ST optical connector, and a BNC video connector, while provides RS485, RS422 and RS232 data exchange interfaces. The fiber optic transceiver is used in CCTV monitoring systems, which operate at 100kbps data rate. The GFS118 does not require optical or electrical adjustments for field operations, and performs well in difficult electromagnetic settings.
