M2 Optics, supplier of test solutions for optical fiber systems, unveiled the latest, hardy version of the 800HE Fiber Lab testing platform which is targeted for applications in military systems and manufacturing environments where there is adverse conditions and rough handling.
Fiber optic testing systems require elongated fibers, that are encompassed defensively to restructure the ground installations, holds the panel-mounted optical connectors to facilitate handling and precludes damage that can occur during handling. The protective corral also helps in reducing the space desired for fiber-based tests.
The 800HE testing platform is user-friendly like other Fiber Lab series. Customers can mix and match any type of fiber and connector with any angle polish at any length up to a maximum of 25 km. The protective enclosure also contains a protective jacket and various other fiber optic accessories. The company is also making the testing platform customizable for telecom training and CATV purposes. The personalized configurations comprise connectors at customer-specified locations, mechanical and fusion splices.
The VP of Marketing, M2 Optics, Kevin Miller, stated that the 800HE platform offers maximum durability for protecting the fiber and added that this feature makes it ideal for training facilities, equipment leasing companies and military applications.
