Nexxus Lighting, specialist in advanced lighting technology, announced that the Array Lighting R30 LED lamps have been deployed in a Florida-based premier performing arts venue called the Broward Center for Performing Arts.
The LED lamps replaced the existing incandescent lights throughout the arts center including stage, theater, lobbies and elevators. Nexxus representative, Stephen Ceseretti, worked with the Broward Center team to decide the best LED lighting solution for the projects.
The Array LED lamps use an advanced thermal management technique called the Selective Heat Sink Technology, which enables low-power LEDs to achieve over 50,000 h lamp-life and deliver superior performance. The array lamps can save up to 80% energy compared to traditional halogen and incandescent lights. The lamps can be dimmed completely on almost all incandescent dimmers.
The Maintenance Technician at Broward Center, Michael Kidwell, stated that the Array LED lamps were selected because they save energy and provide superior color rendering and light output.
The Vice President of External Affairs at Broward Center, Jan Goodheart, commented that the center is a part of the Broadway Green Alliance, a community that supports the use of green energy in the facilities. Using energy-efficient Array LED lamps will bring them closer to the goal, Goodheart said.
