GAOFiberOptics Unveils New Optical Fiber Identifier

GAOFiberOptics has launched a new, advanced 08412 optical fiber identifier that can identify the frequency tone and traffic direction without breaking the fiber. The 08412 optical fiber identifier is portable, compact, user-friendly and ideal for maintaining fiber optic networks and CATV and telecom systems.

The 08412 fiber identifier offers better output efficiency and has low bending loss. The device can detect modulation and optical signals and can also detect the presence or lack of signals during maintenance, restoration, installation and rerouting.

The power display function incorporated in the identifier helps in detecting the fibers’ relative core power. The optical fiber identifier also provides ö3.0, ö2.0, ö0.9 and ö0.25 optional adapters for connecting with a wide range of optical cables, and the range of the optical power identification lies between -30dBm to 5dBm.

A major advantage of using the fiber identifier is that the fiber need not be opened at the splice point for service identification and interruption.
