FOA Releases New Book on OSPFiber Optics

The Fiber Optic Association, (FOA) has released a new textbook titled ‘The FOA Reference Guide to Outside Plant Fiber Optics’. The book is useful for training OSP (outside plant) optics fiber technicians studying for new FOA certification. The textbook can also be used as a reference guide by readers interested in OSP fiber optics. 

The textbook includes the entire types of OSP installations such as aerial, underground, submarine and buried. In addition, the book also provides details about testing requirements, installation methods and specialized components for these applications.

The textbook is the third edition of the FOA reference guide series that covers basic fiber optics and premises cabling such as copper, fiber and wireless cables.
