Ophir-Spiricon has launched a new version of laser measurement software called the StarLab 2.0, which converts a personal computer (PC) into a multi-channel laser power station. The software is compatible with Windows 7 64-bit operating system.
The StarLab software works with Ophir-Spiricon’s PC interfaces and smart displays, which enable users to record, analyze and measure the energy parameters and laser power from Ophir-Spiricon’s series of smart power and energy sensor products. The software accumulates the data from photodiode, thermal and pyroelectric heads by utilizing either the PC interfaces or the laser power meters or a combination of both. The software can calculate and display the histograms, averages and statistics, among others.
The StarLab features a LabVIEW support that combines signal processing functions, advanced analysis and real-time control with Ophir-Spiricon’s Juno USB module. The Juno can connect any smart laser sensors to a PC USB port, and the Windows 7 64-bit compatibility enables faster computing and efficient multitasking. The StarLab 2.01 supports a number of PC interfaces and laser power and energy meters such as USBI, Vega, Pulsar, Nova II and Quasar.
